| Boo! A Madea Halloween - 2016 |
Coming up next is 2016's "Boo! A Madea Halloween", the continuing adventures of the iconic Madea character. This time, this no-nonsense woman comes face to face with the terrors of Halloween.
The film's cast includes Tyler Perry, Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Bella Thorne, Yousef Erakat, Brock O'Hurn, Diamond White, Lizy Koshy, and Javon Johnson.
On Halloween, a group of high school girls are invited to a party by a bunch of rowdy frat guys. The guys have no idea that some of the girls are under age.
One of the girls' fathers (Tiffany's) sees a communication between his daughter and one of the frat boys and is completely disgusted.
That night, Tiffany's Aunt Madea is out with her friend Bam passing out candy to trick-or-treaters. Bam has a sneaky way of putting one candy in a child's basket and coming out with a whole handful.
When one of the kids and their parent complains, Bam has to give them a lesson on the real meaning of trick-or-treat. "Listen, let me tell
you somethin'. You need to teach your son these
principles at home, honey. That's why they call it trick or treat," she says with authority.
Later, Tiffany's father Brian recruits Madea and crew to help keep tabs on his daughter while he's running an important errand. Madea and the gang think they've got this covered.
Tiffany tries to scare the group with a game which allows you to communicate with the dead. They want no part of it.
She succeeds in sneaking out to get to the frat party. Once Madea discovers that she's gone, she takes the gang and heads over their to find her erring great-niece.
Madea calls the cops and breaks up the party. The frat boys are fit to be tied!
The guys decide to play a few pranks on the unsuspecting Madea and her gang. Naturally, they are scared to death.
A zombie invasion sends Madea running for anywhere safe. Luckily for her, a nearby church is the ideal place.
When Madea learns exactly who is behind all of this Halloween mayhem, she can barely contain herself. She's on the verge of unleashing a torrent of curse words. "Cussing demon, I bind you!" she yells out in a struggle to hold her tongue.
Her first inclination is to go nuclear on the frat group. However, after a bit of a calm down, Madea has something else on her mind.
She teaches the guys the real meaning of "prank". They are framed for a "murder" and about to be carted off to prison on a bus that has some terrifying people on it.
All is revealed at the end, though. And Madea teaches everyone a lesson in pranking that they'll never forget.

And that's it for Boo! A Madea Halloween. Personally, though it has some funny moments, I think it's the weakest link in the Madea franchise. Admittedly, I haven't seen the sequel. The character of Hattie really bothers me. The film was shot in only six days.
