He's Just Not That Into You (2009)

He's Just Not That Into You - 2009
Coming up next is 2009's "He's Just Not That Into You", a rom-com that follows a bunch of people trying to figure out the complicated waters of relationships.

The film's cast includes Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Kris Kristofferson, Wilson Cruz, Busy Phillips, and Cristine Rose.

Gigi is a young lady who has trouble getting a second date.  Alex is the bartender she is constantly unloading on.  Alex tries to help her perfect her dating game, and in the process Gigi falls for him.  And the feeling is entirely mutual.

Ben and Janine are a married couple.  Janine struggles wholeheartedly to make the marriage work.  Ben has doubts and isn't sure if the marriage is worth saving.

He falls for yoga instructor Anna, and the two engage in a flirtatious relationship that eventually puts the final nail in the coffin of Ben and Janine's marriage.

Neil and Beth have been dating for seven years.  Beth wants to move towards marriage, but Neil is happy with the status quo.  Can they overcome the stalemate in their relationship?

Mary is works in advertising for a local newspaper.  She has trouble meeting people organically.  "I had this guy leave me a voicemail at work, so I called him at home, and then he emailed me to my Blackberry, and so I texted to his cell, and then he emailed me to my home account and the whole thing just got out of control.  And I miss the days where you had one phone number and one answering machine, and that one answering machine housed one cassette tape, and that one cassette tape either had a message from the guy or it didn't.  And now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies.  It's exhausting," she says.

And Conor is a real estate agent who can't seem to get anywhere in his current relationship.  He even steps out of his comfort zone and asks for some advice from his clients.  If he tries a direct approach, will he succeed in changing the status of his relationship from friendly to romantic?

Some of the funniest things about this movie are the little snippets of advice from people the camera interviews.  This wealthy divorcee goes on and on about trying to catch a cheating husband in the act.  Eventually, she circles the conversation back to herself.  "But, the real master, I have to say, is me.  Three husbands, countless boyfriends.  I haven’t been caught yet."
