The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015)

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - 2015
Our next film is 2015's "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", the sequel to the smash hit "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", in which we find a group of retirees adjusting to their life in India.

The film's cast includes Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Ronald Pickup, Celia Imrie, Dev Patel, Tena Desae, Diana Hardcastle, Richard Gere, Tamsin Greig, David Strathairn, Lillete Dubey, Penelope Wilton, Shazad Latif, Rajesh Tailang, and Sid Makkar.

Evelyn Greenslade has adjusted very well to life in India.  She works as a fabric and textiles collector for a British company, and she is very successful at it.  The work is something she enjoys.  However, her relationship with Douglas Ainslie is a bit influx.

Douglas has found work as a guide giving tours of local history and antiquity.  He's not very good at it, and he has to rely on a headset and a local boy feeding him information about the sites.  He's ready to begin a relationship with Evelyn, but doesn't really know how to broach the subject with her.

Madge Hardcastle finds herself caught between two suitors: both rich and very eligible.  Madge finds herself unable to make a choice, and she relies on her driver Babul for advice.  She also works with Norman as a manager at the Viceroy Club.

Norman and Carol are navigating the waters of exclusivity in their relationship.  Norman seems to have taken out a hit on Carol, and her life seems to be perpetually in danger.

Mrs. Donnelly is busy running the hotel with Sonny.  All may seem well on the outside, but she is harboring a secret that she's sharing with no one.

Jean Ainslie returns to India to visit Douglas and request a divorce.  She's puzzled as to why Douglas and Evelyn haven't begun a romantic relationship.

Sonny and Sunaina are having a rocky patch in their relationship.  Sonny pays more attention to the hotel and his feud with a guy named Kush.  All Sunaina wants is for him to be present and prepared for their wedding and reception.

Lavinia Beech is a woman checking out the hotel as a retirement option for her mother.  However, things are not all they seem to be with regards to her.

And Guy Chambers is a writer looking for a place to stay in India.  He falls in love with Sonny's mother, who finds herself strangely drawn to this strange man from another country.

By the end of the film, all our characters are right where they should be, and they ride off into the sunset.
