Coming up next is 2015's "Jurassic World", the exciting next chapter in the Jurassic Park franchise. In this story, a dinosaur theme park on Isla Nublar shows off the wonderful dinosaurs made famous by Dr. John Hammond and his team. However, a new hybrid dinosaur threatens to undo everything that has been achieved.
The film's cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Vincent D'Onofrio, B.D. Wong, Irrfan Khan, Judy Greer, Andy Buckley, Katie McGrath, and Jimmy Fallon.
In the labs of Jurassic World, something new is hatching. It's a hybrid dinosaur, and its creators have yet to understand how it will react to the world around it.
Jurassic World is a resort experience getaway on Isla Nublar that includes dinosaurs. All kinds of dinosaurs. In the aftermath of the Jurassic Park fiascos, this park was created and has met with huge success.
Claire Dearing is an important personage at the park. She oversees the day to day operations, as well as being the liaison with potential investors and those wanting to unveil new attractions.
She is currently hosting her nephews, Zach and Gray. They are visiting from the United States and are looking forward to exploring all that the park has on offer.
A new hybrid dinosaur is ready to be unveiled. Claire shows it to Simon Masrani, the founder of Jurassic World. "Do you think it will scare the kids?" asks Claire. "The kids? This will give their parents nightmares," observes a very satisfied Simon. The new dinosaur is named Indominus Rex, and includes the genes of both a T-rex and a velociraptor.
Among the other park employees is Owen Grady, who is a specialist working with velociraptors. He is currently trying to train them to respond to certain commands. He has a special connection with a raptor named Blue.
The park is a fantastic place. It includes a baby dinosaur petting zoo. Who doesn't want to ride a baby triceratops? (Pick me, pick me!)
Another fun feature of the park is the gyrosphere ride, which allows you to roll amongst the gentle grazing giants like brachiosaurus, triceratops, and stegosaurus. Zach and Gray have a lot of fun as they try and take it all in. They even take their gyrosphere "off-roading" and find themselves among a bunch of fierce looking ankylosaurs.
The park is thrown into mayhem when the Indominus Rex proves far stronger than they anticipated and escapes its enclosure, killing several people in the process. It even chases Zach and Gray in their gyrosphere, but they escape at the last second.
Zach and Gray are eventually reunited with Claire after having to think up an ingenious way of getting back to the main area of the park. Owen Grady is also there with Claire.
As night falls, Owen decides to take his velociraptors and try to hunt down the Indominus Rex that way.
When that fails, Claire decides to bring out the big guns. She opens the T-rex enclosure and leads the beast to the Indominus.
It's a fierce battle when the two apex predators come face to face. It's all tails, and claws, and teeth.
It's all hands on deck for the battle. Velociraptor Blue teams up with the T-rex to take down the Indominus, however, it is the mosasaur that has the final honor of killing the ferocious carnivore, leaping out of the water and dragging its prey down to the bottom of its enclosure. (I love the top picture. All four dinosaurs have their mouths open and teeth bared. It's the ultimate "show me the teeth" photo. Take that Shark Week.)
Claire, Owen, Zach, and Gray all watch the fierce battle from a distance, and they can hardly believe what they are seeing.

And that's it for Jurassic World. The main street in the Jurassic World park was shot at an abandoned Six Flags in the area of New Orleans, Louisiana. Filmmakers created a huge main street and boardwalk in the parking lot. The mosasaur feeding scene is my favorite in the movie. Director Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg collaborated on it. Trevorrow had the concept for feeding the mosasaur a shark, and Spielberg contributed the lowering of the bleachers on hydraulics so viewers could see the mosasaur underwater. Colin Trevorrow has said that the mosasaur splashing the crowd is his favorite moment in the film.
